Gatronova, one of Pakistan’s most prominent conglomerates and international exporters, has embarked on a transformative journey to redefine its global competitiveness by adopting a large-scale digital and AI-driven enterprise transformation. Through a strategic partnership with SAP, the company has launched what is considered the country’s most ambitious cloud migration and enterprise modernization initiative to date, aimed at enhancing operational agility, transparency, and efficiency across its industrial ecosystem.

With a workforce of over 17,000 and more than 900 operational processes, Gatronova has initiated this transformation by implementing RISE with SAP. This move is designed to embed intelligence into every layer of its operations, unlocking real-time decision-making and process automation that will significantly improve the company’s ability to compete in global markets. According to Rizwan Diwan, CEO of Novatex Limited, this step represents more than a technological upgrade—it is a strategic shift toward building a future-ready organization. He stated that the transformation focuses on enhancing customer experience and making faster, data-driven decisions by embedding AI throughout the enterprise.

SAP Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bahrain Managing Director Saquib Ahmad acknowledged the scale of this collaboration and emphasized SAP’s commitment to enabling sustainable growth. He explained that through SAP S/4HANA and a suite of cloud-based tools, Gatronova will gain real-time visibility, predictive analytics, and greater operational agility—core requirements for navigating the demands of today’s digital economy.

The deployment will integrate key functions across the enterprise, including finance, material management, sales and distribution, quality control, project systems, plant maintenance, and HR. Gatronova will also adopt SAP SuccessFactors for talent optimization, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP DataSphere for advanced business intelligence, SAP GRC for compliance management, and S/4HANA Manufacturing and Scheduling to address production efficiency. These technologies collectively provide a cohesive foundation for operational excellence and strategic oversight.

Waseem Rasheed, Group CIO at Gatronova, emphasized that the migration to RISE with SAP Cloud is central to unlocking the full potential of SAP Joule and generative AI. He described the shift as a significant change in how the organization operates, moving beyond automation to a more intelligent, connected business environment. By embedding AI into core operations, the company is enabling its teams to make informed decisions faster and more accurately, ultimately enhancing productivity and business outcomes.

This collaboration is a milestone not just for Gatronova but for Pakistan’s broader industrial sector. With SAP as a technology partner, Gatronova is helping set new standards for innovation, operational intelligence, and regulatory alignment. This digital transformation initiative reinforces Pakistan’s standing as a forward-looking industrial economy and signals the critical role of enterprise technology in driving long-term growth, efficiency, and competitiveness in global markets.
