Cloud Alliance Pakistan, a community for cloud enthusiasts, successfully hosted its first-ever meetup in collaboration with Huawei Cloud Pakistan. The event drew over 80 attendees from across Pakistan, including Kashmir, Karachi, Lahore, and even southern Punjab.
The meetup brought together government stakeholders, enterprises, operators, developers, ecological partners, and tech influencers. Speakers included Shahzad Rasheed from Huawei Cloud, Aftab Ahmed, Shoaib Akmal, and Fawad Hussain.
Shahzad Rasheed, a UET Lahore graduate, shared Huawei Cloud’s vision for Pakistan. He highlighted their commitment to job creation, being the first international cloud service provider to establish a region in the country, and aiming to generate 3,000 job opportunities.
Aftab Ahmed presented on the topic of “Cloud – a strategic business asset,” emphasizing the importance of cloud adoption for businesses.
Shoaib Akmal discussed Tekrowe Digital’s work in empowering technology startups and enterprises.
Fawad Hussain, Co-Founder and CTO of Markaz Technologies (YC W22), a strong supporter of the AWS Community in Pakistan, concluded the talks by presenting on how his company utilizes the power of the cloud.
The Cloud Alliance Pakistan team expressed their gratitude to Huawei Management for hosting the event, specifically mentioning individuals like Wenbo Li, Farhan Ali, and Syed Bilal Qasim.
The event also saw participation from notable guests including Mohammad Zohaib Akmal, Muhammad Asim Mahmood, Bilal Mahmood, Khurram Shahzad, Babar Shahbaz Ahmed, and Aly G.
