Quantum Global Data Center has announced the signing of two strategic agreements during the B2B Conference held in Hangzhou, China, marking a major development in efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s digital infrastructure landscape. The agreements focus on expanding next generation data center capabilities and building a large scale innovation ecosystem designed to support emerging technologies including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, fintech solutions, and advanced digital services. The initiative is positioned as a step toward establishing scalable and internationally aligned infrastructure intended to support long term digital transformation goals in Pakistan.
The first agreement is a Memorandum of Understanding and design collaboration between Huawei Pakistan and Quantum Global Data Center. Under this agreement, Huawei Pakistan will provide technical support for the development of what is described as Pakistan’s largest data center infrastructure project. The collaboration includes data center design, technical planning, and deployment of specialized solutions required to build a scalable and future ready facility. The infrastructure is expected to align with international standards, focusing on high performance, resilience, and long term adaptability to meet increasing demand for digital services across enterprise and government sectors. The partnership highlights Huawei’s role in contributing expertise in large scale infrastructure development while supporting modernization of Pakistan’s digital backbone.
The second agreement is a broader Collaboration Framework Agreement between Quantum Global Data Center and Tusholdings, represented by Chairman Danish Iqbal Alimohamed alongside the Chief Executive Officer of Tusholdings. This agreement establishes a structured partnership for cooperation on the Karachi Technopolis project as well as wider digital infrastructure initiatives across Pakistan. Tusholdings is described as a global innovation and technology enterprise rooted in Tsinghua University, with a track record in developing and operating large science and innovation parks, including TusPark, recognized as one of the world’s largest university based science parks. The organization brings experience in connecting academic institutions, technology companies, and startups to drive research, development, commercialization, and regional economic growth.
The collaboration framework for Karachi Technopolis is designed to create a unified innovation ecosystem that integrates data center operators, research institutions, technology enterprises, and startups within a high performance environment. Built on IASP aligned principles and the Triple Helix model of academia, industry, and government, the project aims to enable next generation cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence systems, fintech platforms, and digital services. It also emphasizes research and development, incubation programs, technology transfer, and commercialization activities to support innovation led economic expansion. The initiative includes a focus on inclusive talent development, with specific emphasis on increasing women participation in STEM fields, alongside the deployment of a modular data center that will serve as the digital backbone of Karachi Technopolis.
Through these partnerships, Tusholdings brings global expertise in building large scale innovation ecosystems and strengthening connections between academic research and industry application. The collaboration is expected to accelerate research and development outcomes, support commercialization pathways, and contribute to a more connected digital economy. Quantum Global Data Center stated that these agreements reflect its broader strategy to support Pakistan’s digital transformation and enhance its position within the regional technology and data infrastructure landscape through long term ecosystem development and strategic international cooperation.
