PSQCA Hosts Parliamentary Secretary for Science and Technology at Karachi Complex

The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) welcomed the Parliamentary Secretary for Science and Technology, Nikhat Shakeel Khan, to its Gulistan-e-Johar complex in Karachi. The visit, as highlighted in an official press release, underscored the authority’s commitment to advancing quality standards across the nation.

During her visit, Ms. Khan chaired a high-level meeting with PSQCA’s leadership, including Director General Taufeeq Ali Abbasi and Secretary A.K. Rind. She lauded the organization’s performance and its efforts to uphold and enhance standards in Pakistan’s science and technology sectors.

As part of her engagement, Ms. Khan inaugurated a newly established daycare center at the PSQCA Head Office. This initiative aims to provide a supportive work environment for employees by addressing childcare needs, marking a progressive step towards fostering workplace inclusivity.

The event was attended by key PSQCA officials, including Directors Ali Bux Soomro, Khalid Ahmed Bablani, Muhammad Ashraf Palari, and Anjum Parveen, who oversees the daycare facility. Media Head Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Solongi was also present to document the milestone occasion.

Ms. Khan’s visit reflects the government’s emphasis on promoting innovation and improving infrastructure in science and technology institutions across Pakistan.
