Indolj Denies Data Breach, Says Leaked Info is Old Restaurant Data

Published:

Food ordering app Indolj addressed recent media reports claiming a customer data breach on a third-party restaurant management platform. The company maintains that its own systems were not compromised.

News outlets published stories alleging hackers gained access to a database used by restaurants, compromising customer information. Indolj investigated the sample data offered for sale and found “no match” with their current customer records.

“Indolj does not store any credit card or payment-related information,” the company emphasized, making it impossible for their platform to be the source of the leak.

Cybersecurity firm CTM360 corroborated Indolj’s statement, identifying the leaked data as an old incident from 2022 that recently resurfaced online. Forensic analysis confirmed the data’s age and its lack of connection to Indolj’s current customer base.

Indolj reassured its users, stating, “We have implemented rigorous security measures and industry best practices to safeguard customer information. Our dedicated team…continuously monitors and updates our security protocols.”
