A dosing system at Unity Foods’ PESA mill automatically adds fortified nutrients to flour without human intervention, ensuring a consistent and standardized approach to fortification.
Amir Shehzad highlighted the need for Pakistan to define itself as an agri economy, emphasizing the development of policies and infrastructure to support agriculture-based economic activities. He called for long-term strategic economic plans, focusing on farming-supportive policies, essential infrastructure development, efficient water management practices, and investment in research and development for quality agricultural inputs.
While the government can facilitate the business sector, Amir Shehzad emphasized that the actual implementation lies within the private sector. He highlighted the government’s role in supporting research and development, providing tax concessions for corporate farming, and creating a policy framework for corporate farming.
Unity Foods ensures product quality through packaging with an expiration date marked on their flour with a six-month shelf life. The packaging process is devoid of human intervention, from wheat receipt to milling and automatic packing.
