Ufone 4G and Huawei have made history with the introduction of the world’s first Microwave SuperHub solution, featuring Huawei’s dynamic power control innovation for large traffic hub sites. This groundbreaking collaboration addresses challenges related to dense link deployment, scarcity of spectrum resources, and complexities in acquiring new frequency bands.
The Microwave SuperHub boosts spectral efficiency by enabling the reuse of the same frequency at an impressive 20° separation, a significant advancement over the industry standard of 90° separation. This spatial reuse enhances spectrum efficiency by more than four times at aggregation sites, addressing the increasing demand for cellular backhaul.
Through rigorous joint testing, Ufone 4G and Huawei achieved remarkable results, saving 50% of the spectrum and optimizing link interference at hub sites by 100%.
