Trillium Information Security Systems, in collaboration with IBM, hosted a cybersecurity focused event titled “Securing the Invisible: Identity, Secrets & Endpoints,” bringing together chief information security officers, technology leaders, and cybersecurity professionals in Lahore for discussions on modern security risks facing organizations. The event centered on practical cybersecurity approaches related to identity management, secrets protection, and endpoint security, areas that continue to gain importance as enterprises face increasingly complex digital threats. The gathering provided an opportunity for security professionals to exchange insights and discuss operational challenges while exploring technologies designed to improve cyber resilience across organizations.

The sessions at the event were structured around practical implementation and real world cybersecurity requirements, with IBM MaaS360 and IBM HashiCorp Vault serving as the technological framework for discussions. Organizers highlighted how these platforms are increasingly being used to strengthen enterprise security through endpoint management, identity protection, and secrets management. IBM MaaS360 focuses on unified endpoint management and security, helping organizations oversee devices, applications, and data access, while IBM HashiCorp Vault addresses secure storage and management of sensitive credentials, encryption keys, and access controls. Participants engaged in focused discussions about how enterprises can address growing security risks by combining technology adoption with stronger governance and operational readiness.

A key session during the evening was delivered by Faisal Ghias Mir, who spoke about practical strategies for securing an organization’s attack surface. The presentation focused on approaches that security teams can adopt to better understand vulnerabilities, manage access points, and reduce exposure to cyber threats. According to attendees, the session encouraged organizations to assess cybersecurity beyond traditional perimeter defenses and consider more proactive approaches to risk management and infrastructure security. The emphasis remained on practical action and operational preparedness rather than theoretical discussions, reinforcing the event’s focus on addressing real world enterprise security concerns.

The event also featured a panel discussion involving several prominent cybersecurity leaders from Pakistan’s financial and public sectors. Panelists included Muhammad Ali Manzer, Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of Punjab, Asif Iqbal, Chief Information Security Officer at MCB Islamic Bank, and Yasir Niaz Khan, Chief Technology Officer at Punjab Safe Cities Authority. The session was moderated by Usman Malik, Chief Security Officer at University of Lahore, with discussions focused on evolving cybersecurity challenges, organizational preparedness, and the role of collaboration in strengthening digital security practices. Organizers noted that the event reflected the growing need for stronger cybersecurity communities alongside advanced technologies, as organizations increasingly depend on both expertise and collaboration to navigate emerging digital risks across Pakistan’s technology and enterprise landscape.
