Pakistan’s artificial intelligence transformation is already underway, with small and medium enterprises emerging as a central force in this ongoing shift. Artificial intelligence is no longer positioned as a distant technological development but is actively reshaping how businesses operate, scale, and compete across multiple industries. For SMEs in Pakistan, this evolution is increasingly viewed as an urgent requirement rather than an optional upgrade, as AI driven tools continue to redefine productivity, decision making, and customer engagement across business environments.
In this context, TMC hosted a specialized session titled AI Now Simplified for SMEs, designed to provide practical exposure to artificial intelligence in a format that is directly applicable to small and medium businesses. The initiative focused on simplifying AI adoption by demonstrating real world applications rather than theoretical concepts. Participants were introduced to AI agents, conversational bots, and widely used platforms including ChatGPT, Canva AI, Google Workspace with Gemini integration, NotebookLM, Stitch, and other agentic AI systems. The session emphasized hands on learning through live demonstrations and use cases that reflected actual business scenarios, allowing attendees to observe how these tools can streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support decision making processes in real time operational settings.
The event featured keynote participation from Dr. Syed Sohail Hussain Naqvi, Chairman Edtech and Knowledge Streams, and Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, Senior Vice President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their presence underscored the growing institutional recognition of AI as a key driver of economic development and business modernization. Additional sessions were conducted by Mohammad Khalid Iqbal, Business Head SMB and Emerging Markets at TMC Pvt. Ltd., and Anas Wahab, Chief AI Officer at TMC, who highlighted that the primary barrier between SMEs and artificial intelligence adoption is not technological limitation but rather awareness and understanding of practical implementation. Their discussions focused on bridging this gap by making AI more approachable for business owners who may not have technical backgrounds but require efficient digital solutions to remain competitive.
The training segment was led by Shahmeer Maqbool with support from Co Trainer Ammaz Ahmad, who translated conceptual discussions into applied learning through real time demonstrations. Participants were guided through personalized AI adoption frameworks tailored to their respective business environments, enabling them to return with actionable strategies that could be immediately implemented within their organizations. These sessions demonstrated how AI tools can be integrated into everyday business functions such as marketing, customer service, operations management, and content creation, offering SMEs an opportunity to enhance productivity without significant infrastructure changes.
TMC emphasized that the future of Pakistan’s digital economy will be shaped not only by large enterprises but also by the vast network of SMEs that form the backbone of national economic activity. The organization reiterated its focus on making artificial intelligence practical, accessible, and actionable for this segment by simplifying complex technologies into usable business solutions. Through initiatives like AI Now Simplified, TMC continues to position itself as a facilitator of digital adoption, enabling SMEs to integrate AI driven systems into their workflows and strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly technology driven marketplace.
