Telenor Microfinance Bank (TMB), the parent company of Pakistan’s leading digital financial platform easypaisa, has achieved a significant milestone in data security. The bank has been awarded the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, a global standard for information security management systems.
The certification, overseen by Risk Associates, a leading accredited body, recognizes TMB’s dedication to protecting customer data and maintaining the highest standards of information security. The bank’s Chief Risk Officer, Muhammad Rizwan Ikram, and Risk Associates’ Chief Operating Officer, Aziz A. Rahim, were present at the certification ceremony held in Islamabad.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 outlines best practices for identifying, assessing, and mitigating information security risks. By achieving this certification, TMB has demonstrated its ability to effectively manage these risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive customer data.
