[April 4th – 5th 2008: Lahore, Pakistan] The fifth international SOFTECH 2009 and the event 14th of its kind were held in Pakistan. With the heritage of a dazzling success and experience. SOFTECH 2009 was apprehended on 4th and 5th of April 2009 with CIO Pakistan as web partners who did a great job in promoting the event.
The society has the distinction of having held nine All-Pakistan events, under the name of SOFTEC since its advent, and four All-Asia events since March 2005. The society invited and welcomed a number of international contestants from different countries including India, China, Japan, Bangladesh, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Europe and the Middle East for the fifth international event.

The event was arranged in the “Fast University” Campus where numeral of national and international contributors demonstrated. It was started on April 3rd and lasted till April 4th 2009 with the welcome greeting of chief guests followed by the opening ceremony. The chief guests for the opening ceremony included, Mr. Tanveer, CTO Zongand and Mr. Belal Hashmi, Associate Professor, FAST NU, Patron SOFTEC, it was started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Addressed by the President of SOFTEC, Director, FAST-NU, Lahore.
For every competition a separate hall was arranged, Computer gaming arena where setup was done for the kinds, while they enjoyed competing. The other one was prepared for the gaming competition where players were showing there enthusiasm as participants on the other hand a room was showing the live competition that was being held.
For the software competition separate hall was booked as for each cabin was arranged for each of the participant. All of them were granted the system and the software required and each of them was being monitored. At the same time another hall was full of engineers were making differ projects, it included techno things such as robot hand and many other remarkable projects were projected.
