The #ShareTheMicInCyber Fellowship Program is offering mid-career cybersecurity professionals a unique opportunity for policy research and analysis, professional development, and exploration of diversity and human aspects in cybersecurity. Administered by New America, the program spans a year, with fellows dedicating the initial nine months to research and the final three months to promoting their findings.
The 2024 Cohort, scheduled from January 1 to December 31, 2024, promises a $20,000 honorarium for fellows, along with professional development opportunities and access to New America’s resources. Fellows are expected to produce a tangible work product, engage in public speaking events, attend fellowship-oriented events in Washington, DC, and act as representatives of New America.

Eligibility Criteria:
The program encourages applications from individuals facing under-representation, systemic bias, or discrimination in the cybersecurity profession, including those identifying as Black and/or of color, LGBTQIA+, on the gender spectrum, and neurodiverse. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement.
Mid-career professionals with at least 3+ years of experience, demonstrating expertise in communicating to an audience, designing and executing projects, and managing time and resources are encouraged to apply.
