Finance and technology leaders gathered in Karachi for “AI in Finance: Live in Pakistan,” an executive forum focused on how artificial intelligence, compliance, working capital, supplier collaboration and automation are converging within modern finance environments. Organized as a closed executive forum, the event brought together senior professionals to examine how finance transformation is moving beyond strategic roadmaps and becoming part of operational enterprise environments. The session was positioned as the first of its kind in Pakistan and provided a platform for finance and technology leaders to discuss the changing role of AI in enterprise finance. The event featured insights from Muhammad Aamir Jameel, Mateen Sohail-ACMA and Usman Ansari of Tapal Tea (Pvt.) Ltd., alongside Razi Rahman and Mufaddal Aqil of Wafi Energy Pakistan, Shell Licensee. The speakers shared experiences around finance transformation and discussed what it means for organizations when digital finance initiatives move from planning and roadmaps into production environments. Their contributions provided practical perspectives on the adoption of technology within finance operations and the changing requirements facing enterprise finance teams.
An executive panel brought together Ijlal Jafri of Martin Dow Limited, Azhar Nawaz of FFC, Muhammad Aamir Jameel and Razi Rahman for a wider discussion covering AI, digital finance, governance, e invoicing and the decisions enterprise leaders are required to consider as technology becomes more integrated into financial processes. The discussion examined how organizations can approach finance transformation while considering operational requirements and governance. Abid Ali also outlined the broader shift taking place across enterprise finance and demonstrated how SpendConsole is building its platform around this changing environment, while Haseef Ahmed led the conversation with attendees. The event brought together perspectives from finance and technology leaders across different organizations, creating an environment for discussions around enterprise level adoption of AI and digital finance.
A key theme emerging from the event was the evolution from accounts payable automation toward Enterprise Payables Orchestration. SpendConsole highlighted that AP automation represents one stage of a broader transformation, with enterprise payables increasingly connecting AI, compliance, working capital, fraud prevention, supplier collaboration, commercial payments and enterprise finance intelligence. These capabilities are increasingly being considered as connected elements within finance operations rather than isolated functions. The discussion therefore focused on how organizations can approach a more integrated finance environment where technology supports multiple areas of financial management and decision making. The convergence of these capabilities was presented as an important development for organizations assessing the future structure of enterprise finance.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for CFOs, CIOs, finance professionals and technology leaders to exchange experiences and perspectives on the changing finance landscape in Pakistan. SpendConsole thanked the customers and panelists who participated and shared their experiences during the executive forum. The company described the event as a significant day for SpendConsole and an important conversation for enterprise finance in Pakistan. Through discussions around AI, compliance, automation, working capital, payments and supplier collaboration, the forum highlighted the growing role of connected digital capabilities in enterprise finance and the changing expectations for finance leaders as organizations adopt new technology driven approaches.
