Sky47 Limited and ZTE Corporation have signed a contract for the development of Indus 01, Sky47’s Tier III/IV designed data center campus in Karachi. The agreement represents the next stage in Sky47’s expansion strategy following the successful launch of Karakoram 01 in Islamabad and supports the company’s objective of strengthening Pakistan’s digital infrastructure with facilities designed for modern enterprise and artificial intelligence workloads. The project is intended to contribute to the country’s growing demand for secure, resilient, and locally hosted digital infrastructure while supporting organizations that require advanced data center capabilities.
The agreement was signed by Hassan Abbas, Chief Executive Officer of Sky47 Limited, and Guowen Li, Chief Executive Officer of ZTE Pakistan. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Hyder (Retired), Chairman of Fauji Foundation, highlighting the significance of the collaboration for both organizations. Through this partnership, Sky47 and ZTE will work together on the development of the Indus 01 campus, which has been designed to meet Tier III and Tier IV data center standards. These standards are intended to provide high levels of reliability, availability, and operational resilience required for enterprise applications, cloud services, and emerging artificial intelligence workloads. The collaboration also combines Sky47’s vision for expanding Pakistan’s digital infrastructure with ZTE’s technology and implementation expertise in large scale communications and information technology projects.
The Indus 01 development builds upon the foundation established by Karakoram 01 in Islamabad, which marked the beginning of Sky47’s national data center expansion strategy. By extending its infrastructure footprint to Karachi, the company aims to increase the availability of advanced data center services while supporting the country’s evolving digital economy. Sky47 stated that the project reflects its mission to build resilient and AI ready infrastructure capable of meeting future technology requirements across multiple industries.
