Sky47 and Alibaba Cloud have entered into a strategic collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed during the Alibaba Cloud Global Summit 2025 in Singapore. This partnership is set to deliver localized, next-generation cloud and AI services across Pakistan, with a focus on enabling enterprises, startups, and public sector institutions to adopt secure, scalable, and regulation-compliant digital infrastructure. The MoU was signed by Sky47 CEO Hassan Abbas and Alibaba Cloud International Vice President Yungfeng Zhao, representing a shared commitment to supporting Pakistan’s cloud ecosystem with cutting-edge global technologies.

The agreement aims to expand Alibaba Cloud’s reach into the Pakistani market through Sky47’s infrastructure footprint, which includes Tier III and IV certified data centers. These facilities will serve as the foundation for deploying Alibaba’s suite of cloud services locally, helping address the needs of data residency, regulatory compliance, and latency-sensitive applications. Through this collaboration, Pakistani businesses will gain access to a broader range of tools that include cloud-native development platforms, AI engines, storage, compute resources, and machine learning frameworks tailored to industry-specific use cases.

Sky47’s involvement ensures that these services are delivered in alignment with local conditions and market expectations. With its established expertise in enterprise cloud deployment, cybersecurity, and managed infrastructure, Sky47 will play a central role in enabling Alibaba Cloud’s offerings to be adapted for Pakistani customers. This strategic alignment supports the broader national agenda of building digital sovereignty and creating a vibrant domestic technology ecosystem capable of serving both public and private sector transformation needs.

CEO Hassan Abbas emphasized that the partnership is a critical step toward bringing best-in-class cloud innovation to Pakistan. Speaking at the summit, he stated that the collaboration is designed to explore synergies between Sky47’s market access and Alibaba Cloud’s global capabilities. The initiative will focus on equipping organizations with powerful AI-driven solutions that are essential for modernizing operations, improving customer experiences, and driving business agility in an increasingly digital economy.

The MoU outlines shared goals such as strengthening regulatory alignment, accelerating digital adoption among startups and SMEs, and ensuring that mission-critical services can be hosted securely within Pakistan. By leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s established AI technologies and global infrastructure expertise, the partnership also sets the stage for knowledge exchange, technical enablement, and joint innovation opportunities within the local cloud ecosystem.

As part of this collaboration, localized service delivery models will be developed to ensure that businesses in Pakistan can tap into global innovations without compromising on data privacy or performance standards. The launch will also support government-led initiatives under the Digital Pakistan framework by providing a reliable platform for digital public services, e-governance, and smart infrastructure projects. With both partners aligned on long-term growth and impact, the partnership aims to set a new benchmark in enterprise cloud adoption in the country.
