PTCL and DynaSys Networks signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to bolster Internet of Things (IoT) and satellite communication services in Pakistan.
The MoUs establish a technical framework for integrating DynaSys’ IoT platform and devices with PTCL’s cloud, cybersecurity infrastructure, and wired and wireless networks. This collaboration aims to create Pakistan’s first fully integrated and commercially available IoT service, with a shared goal of becoming the country’s leading IoT service provider with one million active subscriptions.
“We’re excited to partner with DynaSys to address the IoT and satellite communication needs of our business partners,” said Aamer Ejaz, Group Vice President of Carrier Services at PTCL & Ufone 4G. “PTCL is committed to bridging the digital divide and bringing positive change to people’s lives. This partnership will allow us to offer innovative and cost-effective solutions in remote areas, ultimately stimulating business activity and economic growth.”
Ali Akhtar, Founder and CEO of DynaSys Networks, emphasized the significance of the partnership. “This agreement is a major step forward for realizing IoT in Pakistan,” he stated. “We’ve solved the missing puzzle piece with our platform, and we’ll work closely with PTCL to launch Pakistan’s first comprehensive IoT service.”
The MoU on satellite communications leverages the combined expertise of both companies. DynaSys’ team brings extensive technical and commercial knowledge, while PTCL offers a robust satellite communication infrastructure and a long history in the field. This alliance aims to solidify their position as Pakistan’s leading satellite communication systems integrators and service providers, with ambitions to expand their market share regionally.
