The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) recently unveiled the winners of its prestigious 2022 ICT Champion Awards. This year marked a milestone with the introduction of a special lifetime achievement award recognizing exceptional contributions to the IT industry.

Essam Baghdady, President of Awan Distribution, was the sole recipient of the inaugural honor. The announcement lauded Baghdady’s leadership and his team’s instrumental role in establishing Awan Distribution as the leading IT company in Pakistan and Afghanistan. A special recognition was also given to Vivek Sharma JNS for highlighting Baghdady’s philanthropic endeavors in both Egypt and Pakistan.

P@SHA awardees consistently garner international recognition beyond local acclaim. Over the past two decades, winners have secured numerous gold and merit awards at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards. Facing stiff competition from 15 prominent economies in the Asia Pacific region, including established players like Australia,Malaysia, and Singapore, P@SHA champions have consistently showcased Pakistan’s IT prowess on the global stage.This achievement underscores the country’s growing talent and potential in the ever-evolving IT landscape.
