Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has taken a significant step in its digital transformation journey by awarding the Tier-3 Primary Data Center Facility, Disaster Recovery Site, Complete Network Infrastructure, Storage, and Compute Upgrade Project to New Horizon Computer. This milestone agreement aims to modernize PESCO’s IT infrastructure with cutting-edge technology, replacing outdated systems and enhancing operational efficiency.
The contract signing ceremony took place on January 27, 2024, at PESCO’s Head Office. The agreement was formalized by Mr. Muhammad Zubair Khan, Chief Engineer Development (PMU) at PESCO, and Mr. Azmat Ayub Khan, Regional Director of New Horizon Computer. The event was attended by key stakeholders from PESCO, including CEO Mr. Akhtar Hamid Khan, Director Procurement (PMU) Mr. Zafar Ali, Deputy Director Procurement (PMU) Mr. Shahan Khan, Director Finance (PMU) Mr. Shabir, Director IT Mr. Inam Ullah, and Deputy Manager IT Mr. Muhammad Adnan Zeb.
Huawei Enterprise Business Group played a vital role in the collaboration, with representatives such as Mr. Tanshuang, Director Commercial Market, Mr. Jawad Talha Rehan, Senior Account Manager, and Mr. Raja Sheraz Ahmed, Solutions Lead, present at the ceremony. Additionally, Huawei Data Center Facility & Critical Power Business Group was represented by Country Manager Syed Arsalan Manzoor and Solution Manager Mr. Muhammad Shaheer Zafar. From New Horizon Computer, Account Manager Mr. Maaz Islam Bangash participated in the event.
The establishment of this state-of-the-art Tier-3 Data Center is expected to significantly enhance PESCO’s ability to manage its operations efficiently and securely. By leveraging Huawei’s advanced technology solutions, this initiative will provide robust disaster recovery capabilities, seamless network infrastructure, and optimized storage and computing power.
