Pakistan’s National Cyber Security Auditing and Evaluation Lab (NCSAEL), a department within the NUST Military College of Signals (MCS), has brought home a prestigious award at the 21st Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2022.

FEAST Takes Center Stage

NCSAEL’s indigenously developed “Firmware Extraction, Analysis & Security Assessment Toolkit (FEAST)” clinched the Gold Award in the Business Services-Security Solutions category. This automated toolkit empowers users to assess the security posture and identify vulnerabilities within the firmware of embedded devices, network equipment, and the ever-growing world of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The win is a testament to NCSAEL’s innovation, surpassing competition from renowned companies across 16 Asia-Pacific economies.

A Hub of Cybersecurity Excellence

Headed by Professor Dr. Haider Abbas, a leading expert in information security, NCSAEL is a globally recognized research lab at the forefront of cybersecurity advancements. Holding the distinction of being Pakistan’s first point of contact for cutting-edge information security services, NCSAEL consistently strives to push the boundaries of the field.

Celebrating Success and Aiming Higher

The NCSAEL team is understandably thrilled with this recognition at the APICTA Awards. This achievement fuels their motivation to continue developing groundbreaking solutions and earning further accolades for Pakistan’s cybersecurity expertise on the global stage.
