Pakistan Wins Top Prize at OIC Cybersecurity Hackathon

Ignite has achieved a significant milestone with its team, AirOverflow, securing the first position in the OIC Zone’s prestigious COMSEC CTF Challenge.

In this intense 12-hour competition, Pakistan’s AirOverflow team demonstrated exceptional skills and teamwork, outperforming teams from 17 other OIC countries, including Azerbaijan, Mali, Turkmenistan, and Jordan.

The winning team will be awarded the top prize at the final ceremony in Turkey and will participate in a 2-day advanced training session.

Adeel Aijaz Shaikh, CEO of Ignite, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, highlighting Ignite’s efforts in fostering a culture of excellence and empowering youth to excel on the global stage.

Ignite has organized four Cybersecurity Hackathons, with the fourth edition currently underway. The hackathons include free-entry awareness sessions for the general public and hands-on training workshops in 16 cities across Pakistan, followed by regional competitions and a grand finale in Islamabad.

This year’s Cybersecurity Hackathon expands on previous versions with greater outreach and broader coverage across the country. The awareness sessions, conducted by cybersecurity experts, are attracting significant interest from various segments of society.
