Pakistan Strengthens Digital Backbone with Launch of Tier 3 Data Center by PTA

PTA has officially inaugurated its new Tier 3 compliant data center today. The ceremony, held at the PTA Headquarters, was graced by Caretaker Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Dr. Umar Saif.

This state-of-the-art facility is designed to deliver superior efficiency and reliability for Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. The data center boasts a 24×7 Network Operation Center (NOC) and Security Operation Center (SOC) to ensure seamless operations and robust security measures for all housed data.

Dr. Umar Saif commended the initiative, highlighting its alignment with the government’s vision for a “digitally stronger Pakistan.” He emphasized the importance of the data center in providing advanced and secure digital services to both consumers and telecom operators across the country.

Chairman PTA, Maj Gen (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved in bringing the data center to fruition. He emphasized the facility’s role as a centralized platform for managing and provisioning a wide range of e-services, further bolstering Pakistan’s digital landscape.
