Pakistan Learning Nest has announced a one day workshop on Pakistan Information Security Framework (PISF) 2026 Implementation and Compliance, aimed at helping organizations understand and implement the country’s latest information security framework. The training session is scheduled to take place on September 17, 2026, at Mövenpick Hotel Karachi and is designed for cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and technology professionals seeking practical guidance on meeting PISF 2026 requirements.
According to the announcement, the workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of PISF 2026 implementation and compliance obligations. The training is intended to help organizations interpret the regulatory framework, establish appropriate security policies and controls, manage compliance related risks, and strengthen internal information security processes. Participants will also receive practical insights into implementation challenges, monitoring mechanisms, reporting requirements, and sustainable compliance practices. The session is expected to be relevant for Chief Information Security Officers, Chief Information Officers, IT and security managers, compliance officers, system administrators, auditors, representatives from federal and provincial entities, and organizations managing critical information infrastructures.
The workshop will feature a lineup of industry experts and experienced practitioners from the cybersecurity and financial sectors. Guest speakers include Dr. Mehreen Afzal, Director Governance, Risk and Compliance, CISSP, CISA, Lead Auditor for ISO 27001 and ISO 17025, and National CERT Government of Pakistan. Javed Yousuf Edhi, Chief Executive Officer of National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT), will also participate as a guest speaker. Additional sessions will be delivered by Maleeha Masood, a Governance, Risk and Compliance and cybersecurity expert, former Chief Information Security Officer, thought leader, and accredited trainer, as well as Kamran Meer, former Chief Information Security Officer at HBL, UBL, Bank Alfalah, FBR, STC Center3 in Saudi Arabia, and Etisalat in the UAE. Their combined experience spans governance, cybersecurity, compliance, auditing, financial services, and enterprise security management, offering participants practical perspectives on implementing regulatory and security frameworks.
