Pakistan’s IT industry shines at LEAP 2024 in Riyadh, with 74 companies and 800 delegates representing the nation. Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), highlights the significant presence of Pakistan in the global event, dubbed as the Digital Davos, with 172,000 participants from 183 countries.

The Pakistan Pavilion, inaugurated by Ahmed Farooq, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia and Chairman P@SHA, serves as the nerve center for Pakistani IT companies, attracting major players from diverse verticals and governmental organizations in the GCC countries.

P@SHA, in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh, hosts the high-profile Saudi-Pak Tech Forum, with Deemah Alyahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), as the Chief Guest. The event aims to foster collaboration between the two nations and capitalize on the success achieved by Pakistani companies at LEAP 2023.

Aisha Moriani, CEO PSEB, underscores the importance of collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the need for incremental growth and follow-up to leverage the potential of IT exports to Saudi Arabia.

Zohaib Khan highlights the significance of Pakistan’s participation at LEAP 2024, citing the event as a timely opportunity to showcase the nation’s IT prowess and expand business in the Middle East market, particularly in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 projects.

Pakistan’s IT industry policy, as outlined by Zohaib Khan, includes various incentives such as a thriving IT infrastructure, support for 100 percent equity ownership for IT companies, and income tax credits for IT exports to foreign investors.

Pakistan’s strategic location and advanced connectivity, coupled with a favorable time zone advantage, position it as a gateway to Central Asia and make it an optimal choice for establishing a digital corridor to Middle Eastern, African, and Asian markets.

Key delegations from SIFC, MoITT, PSEB, Tech Destination Pakistan, Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh, HBL, Invest Saudi, Aion, Revival Lab, and Infotech Group contribute to the success of the Saudi-Pak Tech Forum and Pakistan Pavilion.
