Pakistan And Saudi Arabia Collaborate On GO AI Hub To Boost Digital Cooperation

Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group is set to establish the GO AI Hub Pakistan in October 2025, marking a significant milestone in advancing digital collaboration between Riyadh and Islamabad. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), data infrastructure, and emerging technologies. The announcement followed a meeting in Riyadh between Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and GO Group executives, underscoring both nations’ shared commitment to innovation-driven growth across the region.

During the meeting, discussions focused on a wide spectrum of collaboration, including data center development, technical talent training, and digital infrastructure expansion across Pakistan. The GO AI Hub is envisioned as a strategic platform for cross-border innovation and applied AI research, enabling both nations to design and deploy technology solutions suited to their regional needs. The initiative highlights the growing importance of digital partnerships in enhancing economic resilience, knowledge sharing, and institutional cooperation. By focusing on infrastructure and skill development, the project intends to establish a robust foundation for sustainable digital progress.

The upcoming GO AI Hub Pakistan will function as a joint platform for knowledge transfer, capacity building, and co-creation of AI-based solutions. It will focus on key technological domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data analytics, while promoting collaboration between academia, government, and the private sector. This initiative not only reflects both countries’ mutual interest in fostering innovation but also aligns with Pakistan’s broader digital transformation goals, particularly in strengthening its local tech ecosystem and positioning itself as a competitive digital economy.

Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja commended GO Group’s expertise in digital transformation and noted that the initiative supports Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan.” The vision prioritizes digital inclusivity, innovation, and infrastructure development to accelerate economic modernization. The launch event for the GO AI Hub is scheduled for October 2025 and is expected to attract senior officials, policymakers, and industry leaders from both nations. The establishment of the AI Hub marks a progressive step in deepening technological cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, reinforcing their shared ambition to build a digitally connected and innovation-driven future.
