Pakistan’s National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) marked a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey with the launch of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Dr. Rana Jabbar Khan, Managing Director of NTDC, presided over the project’s kickoff ceremony, highlighting its importance in streamlining operations and embracing automation. Notably, this project represents the World Bank’s largest investment in resource allocation for Pakistan.
Siemens Pakistan has been selected to deliver the project, encompassing the entire ERP system lifecycle from design and implementation to hardware distribution and installation.
“I expect all employees to actively participate, take ownership, and contribute effectively,” Dr. Khan stated, as quoted by a news publication. “Senior management will closely monitor progress and provide full support to the project team.”
The ERP system is expected to be fully operational within 18 months. This initiative demonstrates NTDC’s commitment to digital transformation and its focus on enhancing operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology.
