National Disaster Management Authority hosted senior leadership from Viamo for a strategic engagement aimed at strengthening GenAI-enabled risk communication across Pakistan. The delegation included Mr. Louis Dorval, COO and Co-Founder of Viamo; Mr. Osman Anwar, Country Director Pakistan – Asia and MENA Partnerships; Mr. Kaiyan Yousaf, Deputy Director Global Partnerships; and Mr. Dhimas Puntranto, Global Platform Manager. During the visit, the Viamo team received a comprehensive briefing at NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Centre, highlighting the authority’s technological infrastructure for real-time hazard monitoring, inter-agency coordination, and nationwide dissemination of early warnings. NDMA showcased its capabilities in tracking disasters, analyzing risks, and delivering critical alerts through multiple channels. The session emphasized the importance of accurate, timely, and actionable information to support communities in high-risk and vulnerable areas, while underscoring NDMA’s commitment to proactive disaster management through technology adoption.
Discussions during the engagement focused on Viamo’s latest developments in Generative AI and the potential integration of NDMA’s official alerts into Viamo’s GenAI-powered hotline platforms.
