National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) and the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have joined forces to bolster Pakistan’s cybersecurity capabilities. The two institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on capacity building, research, and innovation in the field of cybersecurity.
The partnership will focus on training and equipping professionals with the necessary skills to address emerging cyber threats. Additionally, the two institutions will collaborate on providing a range of cybersecurity services, including incident response, forensic investigation, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
To foster innovation and address future challenges, both organizations will undertake joint research and development initiatives. This includes developing AI and machine learning-driven solutions to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
Furthermore, the partnership will promote cybersecurity awareness through workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing programs. It will also facilitate opportunities for students to gain practical experience through internships and job placements.
By combining their expertise and resources, National CERT and NUST aim to strengthen Pakistan’s cybersecurity posture and contribute to the country’s digital transformation.
