During his career at DP World Karachi, Najam has progressed through several leadership positions, gaining experience across different areas of enterprise technology management. His professional journey with the organization began as System Support Executive, followed by roles including Assistant Manager IT, Manager IT, General Manager IT, and Director IT. Through these positions, he contributed to the development, management, and modernization of technology operations supporting one of Pakistan’s important logistics and port environments. His appointment as Country Head Information Technology reflects his continued contribution to technology strategy and operational advancement within the organization.
Najam Abdali has been recognized for his role in leading major digital transformation initiatives at DP World Karachi. One of his notable contributions includes the development of the Burraq Terminal Operating System (TOS), a technology platform designed to support terminal operations and improve efficiency within port management processes. He has also been involved in several enterprise technology initiatives, including Oracle ERP modernization, artificial intelligence powered automation, cybersecurity improvements, ISO 27001 compliance efforts, and terminal technology innovation. His work has contributed to the adoption of advanced technology practices within Pakistan’s port ecosystem, supporting improved operational capabilities and digital transformation across logistics operations. In addition to his professional achievements, he is also the author of “Basic Concept of Computer Programming,” reflecting his interest in technology education and knowledge sharing.
