KARACHI, October 13, 2008 – Microsoft initiated another spell of its ongoing global launches at a local ceremony unveiling . The one day session which marked presence of decision makers from across diversified industries aimed to enhance awareness of Virtualization solutions within the country and give impetus to its deployment in businesses across the board.
The highlight of the day was the presence of Ehtesham Hanif, Director, Core Infrastructure Optimization Architecture from Microsoft Corporate Headquarter, Redmond USA. While addressing the dignitaries from various organizations he commented, “Virtualization is geared to redefine the traditional business operations. At Microsoft we strive to provide services that enable technology to be the key driver of business growth thereby allowing corporations to realize tangible benefits based on an integrated virtualization approach.”
The Virtualization Launch was sponsored by a consortium of sponsors which included HP, KalSoft and Expert Systems. HP Country Manager Rizwan Alam said, “Virtualization is one of the key technology initiatives in the datacenters whereby organizations are maximizing the investments in the computing infrastructure in relation to the applications deployed. Microsoft’s initiative to harbour greater awareness for virtualization is in line with its global efforts for Virtualization Launch in September 2008.
