It’s all about reaching out to the right people and extracting the right kind of information that is most relevant to the readers of CIO. Look us up online at the CIO Pakistan group if you are on Facebook, or join our CIO Pakistan group on LinkedIn. I bet you’re asking yourself, ‘what’s the difference between the two!?’ The anwswer is: quite a bit.
Facebook is a social networking site that pretty much everyone knows about. Millions of people there with hundeds of thousands of groups – networking is easy and well, it is for everyone. LinkedIn, on the other hand, if meant for professional networking and things work in a more restricted manner there. You’ll find a lot of C-level members of various organizations who try and get online for professional networking. It isn’t as easy to ‘add a friend’ here as it is on Facebook, and it’s tougher to open up your own group.
CIO Pakistan launched its presence on both to attract everyone who is interested in technology, but what is interesting to note is this: the people who partake in our discussions and surveys are usually CXO-level members of small, medium and large organizations. Come join us there.. wherever you think makes for a better fit for you.
