The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) recently conducted a comprehensive workshop on Cyber Security Resilience and Governance for government officers. Designed to address the growing challenges of the cyber security landscape, the session focused on equipping participants with critical knowledge and practical tools to combat evolving cyber threats.
The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including threat preparedness, attack vectors, governance, compliance, and risk management. Expert speakers, including Syed Abdul Qadir, shared key insights on the role of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in government, implementing NIST frameworks, conducting IT audits, and performing penetration testing.
Participants also engaged in hands-on exercises, enabling them to translate theoretical concepts into actionable strategies for cyber security planning. To further support their professional development, KPITB distributed Google Cyber Security Certification Course vouchers, empowering attendees to deepen their expertise and actively contribute to enhancing the province’s cyber resilience.
This initiative underscores KPITB’s dedication to fostering a secure and robust digital infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. By investing in capacity-building programs for government officials, the organization aims to bolster cyber governance and ensure a safer digital environment for citizens and institutions alike.
