JazzCash has achieved impressive results on TikTok Ads by strategically using different ad placements to optimize for both brand awareness and conversions.

JazzCash, already familiar with TikTok advertising from previous successful campaigns, wanted to delve deeper and understand the impact of various placement options. They compared using TikTok placements only to Automatic Placement, which incorporates both TikTok and its audience network, Pangle.

To analyze the effectiveness of each approach, JazzCash conducted a split test using the TikTok Ads Manager. Two ad groups were created: one targeting only TikTok placements and the other utilizing Automatic Placement. Both groups used the same set of creatives.

The results were insightful. TikTok emerged as the platform of choice for driving upper-funnel metrics like brand awareness and consideration. The TikTok-only ad group reached a significantly larger audience (50% more users) and achieved a 2.5 times increase in conversion rates compared to the Automatic Placement group.

However, Automatic Placement, which combines TikTok and Pangle, proved to be more effective for lower-funnel conversions. This strategy delivered a significant increase in conversions at a 44% lower cost-per-install (CPI) compared to the TikTok-only approach.

The combined use of Pangle and TikTok provided valuable data on user behavior across different platforms. While TikTok excelled at raising awareness, Pangle facilitated conversions at a more cost-effective rate.

JazzCash’s marketing team highlighted their commitment to experimentation. As early adopters of Pangle, they achieved significant success, demonstrating a substantial increase in both brand awareness and conversions.

Looking ahead, the success of this campaign underscores the power of strategic ad placement on TikTok. JazzCash, along with other marketers, eagerly awaits future innovations and advertising options from TikTok to further enhance their digital marketing strategies.
