Pakistan’s leading mobile operator, Jazz, and tech giant Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) have announced a collaborative effort to bridge the digital skills gap in the country. This year-long partnership will leverage Ericsson Educate, an online learning platform, to equip Pakistan’s entrepreneurial community with in-demand digital skills.

The initiative aligns with Jazz xlr8, Pakistan’s premier business accelerator program, highlighting both companies’ commitment to fostering a future-ready workforce and boosting local innovation.

Jazz will play a key role in promoting Ericsson Educate through its existing youth-oriented programs. This will allow local talent to access a comprehensive library of online courses focused on cutting-edge technologies like 5G networks,IoT, automation, AI, and ML. These courses are designed to enhance their knowledge and prepare them for jobs in the rapidly evolving telecom and ICT sectors.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive industry-recognized digital badges from Ericsson, adding valuable credentials to their resumes.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Ericsson to elevate digital skills among Pakistan’s young and aspiring entrepreneurs,”
said Aamer Ejaz, Jazz’s Chief Digital Officer.

He emphasizes the inclusivity and user-friendliness of Ericsson Educate, which provides access to high-quality learning materials for individuals shaping Pakistan’s digital future.

Aamir Ahsan Khan, President and Country Manager of Ericsson Pakistan, elaborated on their additional contribution through expert-led webinars. These sessions will leverage Ericsson’s extensive experience in Industry 4.0, delving into emerging and next-generation technologies. This will equip participants with the knowledge and insights needed to thrive in the digital age.

This partnership between Jazz and Ericsson promises to empower young Pakistanis and entrepreneurs with the skills needed to succeed in the digital economy. This, in turn, will significantly contribute to Pakistan’s overall digital development.
