Infralectric Introduces Green Sukuk and Completes 25MWh AI ESaaS Project for Pakistan Telecom

Published:

Infralectric, a Brillanz Group company, has marked a major milestone in Pakistan’s telecom and energy sectors with the launch of the country’s first Green Sukuk for the telecom industry, alongside the successful completion of a 25MWh AI-powered Energy Storage-as-a-Service (ESaaS) project. The dual initiative reflects growing efforts to modernize telecom tower energy infrastructure while introducing sustainable financing models that reduce carbon emissions and enhance operational efficiency.

The 25MWh AI-powered ESaaS project, developed with Thunder AI technology, represents a significant transformation in telecom tower operations. By integrating advanced AI-driven battery storage, the system reduces diesel consumption by over five million liters annually, increases uptime across the network, and lowers carbon emissions by 13,500 tons each year—a figure equivalent to planting more than 220,000 trees. The deployment demonstrates how digital and energy solutions can be combined to deliver measurable environmental and operational benefits for Pakistan’s telecom sector.

In parallel, Infralectric launched Pakistan’s first Green Sukuk in collaboration with InfraZamin Pakistan. This Shariah-compliant financial instrument, with a principal guarantee of 100%, is designed to provide scalable financing for low-carbon, AI-enabled telecom infrastructure. The Sukuk, valued at up to PKR 3 billion, introduces a sustainable investment mechanism to modernize telecom towers while attracting private capital and supporting climate-resilient development. According to Maheen Rahman, CEO of InfraZamin Pakistan, the initiative represents a pivotal step in unlocking sustainable finance and modernizing critical digital infrastructure across the country.

At the launch event, Bilal Qureshi, CEO of Brillanz Group, emphasized the strategic importance of combining AI-powered energy solutions with innovative finance to strengthen Pakistan’s digital ecosystem. Fahd Haroon, Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, highlighted how these initiatives demonstrate the convergence of finance, technology, and sustainability to support economic growth and decarbonization. A panel discussion moderated by industry expert Ayla Majid brought together leaders from banking, telecom, and energy sectors, including Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, CEO of Dubai Islamic Bank; Awais Naseem Vohra, CTO of Telenor Pakistan; and Adeel Ahmed, COO of Engro Enfrashare, exploring the implications of AI-powered infrastructure and green finance for Pakistan’s telecom energy landscape.

By combining technological innovation with sustainable financing, Infralectric and its partners are setting a new benchmark for telecom infrastructure in Pakistan, addressing both operational efficiency and environmental responsibility. These initiatives also align with broader efforts to decarbonize the telecom sector, create scalable green investment models, and provide a framework for future AI-enabled energy solutions across the country.
