InfoTel Pakistan conducted a specialized training session for the National Bank of Pakistan’s (NBP) Alternate Delivery Channel team on May 20th, 2024. The focus of the training was migrating NBP’s security infrastructure from Thales payShield 9K to the more advanced payShield 10K.
This upgrade represents a significant step forward for NBP’s security protocols. The payShield 10K offers enhanced features for issuing payment credentials, user and card authentication, and protecting sensitive data across both in-person and digital transactions.
Led by a team including Mr. Wajahat Malik, SVP/Divisional Head, and under the strategic guidance of Mr. Amin Manji, SEVP/CIO/Group Chief IT, the NBP team received in-depth training on the migration process, ensuring a smooth transition to the new Hardware Security Module (HSM).
The training extended beyond the technical aspects, fostering discussions on cutting-edge cybersecurity and database security solutions. This collaboration not only strengthens the partnership between InfoTel and NBP but also paves the way for future advancements in banking security. The session concluded with a ceremony celebrating the successful training and solidified partnership.
