Huawei has introduced a new AI computing platform aimed at helping enterprises build and manage the infrastructure required for artificial intelligence workloads. The announcement was made during Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, where the company presented its Intelligent Computing Platform Service Solution to the global market for the first time. The platform is designed to support organisations that are developing or scaling AI services but face challenges related to infrastructure planning, deployment, and system management.
The solution focuses on providing a comprehensive computing foundation that can support demanding AI applications across enterprise environments. Many companies attempting to deploy artificial intelligence systems face difficulties in designing data centres, installing specialised hardware, and maintaining the computing capacity required for large models. Huawei stated that its platform addresses these concerns by combining infrastructure planning, engineering support, and operational management into a single service framework. The approach is intended to help enterprises accelerate the process of building AI capable infrastructure while ensuring that systems remain stable and efficient during large scale workloads.
One of the primary areas targeted by the platform is the construction and preparation of data centres that can support intensive computing requirements. Establishing facilities capable of handling high performance AI processing often takes between seven and nine months to complete. Huawei indicated that its solution uses simulation based planning for energy efficiency, liquid cooling systems, and cabling architecture to reduce the amount of physical rework required during installation. Through this method, the company believes the renovation and deployment cycle can be shortened to approximately four to six months. Faster deployment timelines can be valuable for organisations that need to quickly expand computing resources for large language models, AI experimentation, or enterprise data analysis initiatives. Shorter project durations may also help reduce labour demands and operational costs in markets where skilled infrastructure engineers are in limited supply.
The platform also addresses the technical challenge of configuring computing clusters that power AI systems. These clusters consist of groups of servers and processors working together to process complex workloads that would be difficult for a single machine to handle. Modern AI models often rely on clusters containing hundreds or thousands of nodes to maintain performance and responsiveness. Huawei explained that once the physical hardware is installed, its deployment process can bring a large computing cluster into operation within around fifteen days. In addition to cluster deployment, the service includes tools designed to tune system performance and optimise resource distribution so that AI workloads run more efficiently across the infrastructure. Stable cluster performance is essential because poorly configured systems can waste electricity or encounter failures during heavy processing demands, which may disrupt enterprise services that depend on consistent AI response times.
Another feature of the platform focuses on model adaptation, a process that prepares artificial intelligence models to run effectively on specific hardware or within an enterprise environment. According to Huawei, the company has already adapted more than 150 mainstream AI models that cover approximately ninety percent of common enterprise application scenarios. Knowledge gathered during these deployments has been documented in a database containing more than ten thousand expert cases. This knowledge base is intended to guide new installations and reduce the amount of manual testing required when organisations deploy AI models in their own environments. For enterprises, this could shorten the time required to fine tune models and allow development teams to move from experimentation to operational deployment more quickly.
Huawei’s announcement formed part of a broader set of AI related initiatives presented during Mobile World Congress. The company also introduced an AI Native framework designed to support intelligent operations for telecom operators and enterprises managing complex networks. This framework incorporates digital twin simulations and domain models that allow organisations to manage large scale infrastructure more effectively. In addition, Huawei revealed plans to open source a communication protocol called A2A T, which is intended to standardise how autonomous agents within telecom environments communicate with each other. The protocol aims to enable greater compatibility between systems developed by different vendors.
Industry analysts have noted that artificial intelligence and intelligent connectivity have become central themes at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Technology providers across the ecosystem are increasingly focusing on tools that simplify the deployment and management of AI workloads. Huawei’s platform reflects this broader shift as enterprises evaluate whether to operate AI infrastructure in cloud environments or maintain workloads inside their own data centres. Some organisations continue to prefer on premises systems because of regulatory requirements, performance considerations, or the need to maintain direct control over sensitive data.
By providing integrated support that covers infrastructure planning, deployment, cluster optimisation, and model adaptation, Huawei aims to assist enterprises throughout the lifecycle of AI infrastructure development. The service is intended to bridge gaps that organisations often face when assembling complex AI environments from multiple vendors.
