Discussions also highlighted Gilgit Baltistan’s strategic importance as the physical gateway for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, with participants suggesting that a complementary digital corridor for data exchange, monitoring and cross border trade could further enhance the region’s role in the digital economy.
