Begin.Watch, one of Pakistan’s leading OTT entertainment platforms, has officially gone live on Huawei Cloud through a strategic collaboration with Allianz Cloud Hosting FZ LLC. Announced in Abu Dhabi on 17 August 2026, the deployment marks an important step in strengthening cloud powered digital media services for Pakistan and the wider South Asian region. The migration was completed through the joint efforts of the technical teams from Begin.Watch and Huawei Cloud, with Allianz Cloud Hosting serving as Huawei Cloud’s strategic partner for West and South Asia. The milestone was commemorated during a formal Go Live Ceremony and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Abu Dhabi, where representatives from all three organizations reaffirmed their commitment to future collaboration in cloud technologies and digital infrastructure.

The partnership provides Begin.Watch with enterprise grade cloud capabilities designed to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of its streaming platform. By adopting Huawei Cloud, the company now benefits from low latency content delivery services that support smooth live and on demand streaming for audiences across Pakistan and international markets. The deployment also introduces AI powered media processing technologies that automate tasks such as content transcoding, metadata tagging, and personalized content recommendations. In addition, the platform now operates on an elastic cloud architecture capable of automatically scaling computing and network resources during periods of high demand, including major live sports broadcasts and entertainment events. Enterprise security and data governance capabilities have also been integrated to strengthen platform protection while supporting compliance with regional data sovereignty requirements and applicable regulatory standards.

The Go Live Ceremony was attended by Wharton Huang, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud UAE, Jonathan Mark, Co Founder and CEO of Begin.Watch, Javed Khamisani, Founder and CEO of Allianz Cloud Hosting FZ LLC, Muhammad Nabeel, Chief Technology Officer of Begin.Watch, Abdul Noor, Business Development Manager for the Cloud Consulting Solution Sales Department at Huawei Cloud Middle East and Central Asia, and Salman Syed, Senior Channel and Alliance Manager at Huawei Cloud MEA. During the event, company representatives emphasized the importance of combining cloud infrastructure with artificial intelligence to strengthen digital media platforms. Huawei Cloud highlighted its commitment to delivering cloud native technologies for regional streaming services, while Begin.Watch noted that the migration provides the foundation required to enhance user experiences and support future expansion. Allianz Cloud Hosting stated that the project reflects its commitment to enabling Pakistan’s digital media sector with advanced cloud infrastructure and acknowledged the support of Huawei’s technical and sales teams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi throughout the implementation.

The collaboration also demonstrates how partnerships between regional technology providers and cloud service companies can support the evolving needs of digital content platforms. By combining Huawei Cloud’s infrastructure, Allianz Cloud Hosting’s regional expertise, and Begin.Watch’s growing streaming platform, the initiative establishes a scalable framework for delivering secure and AI enabled media services. The deployment positions Begin.Watch to serve a growing audience with improved performance while providing an example of how cloud technologies can help accelerate digital transformation across Pakistan’s OTT industry. Allianz Cloud Hosting, a Dubai based provider of cloud and digital infrastructure solutions, continues to support organizations across the GCC, Pakistan, and neighboring markets through sovereign, hybrid, and AI enabled cloud services tailored for enterprise, technology, and media sectors.
