Rishi Jaitly from Google Inc was in Pakistan on CIO Pakistan’s invitation to give a Keynote at the launch ceremony back in August. Garnering a wonderful response at the event, Rishi took at tour around Pakistan with Badar Khushnood, to try and get a better feel for Internet in Pakistan. Here’s the blog entry he posted on Google’s Public Policy Blog.
Rishi was the most senior representative from Google to have visited Pakistan and we’re hoping that this rolling stone will gather no moss and keep the visits and knowledge investment coming to this part of the world. I’m sure Rishi and others have been following Pakistan remotely but what they see through their screens is not as real as what he may have been able to experience here.
I’d like to send out a sincere thanks to Rishi Jaitly, Badar Khushnood for making the trip happen and a shout out to the countless people and organizations who worked to ensure that Rishi’s trip here yielded the best possible results.
