Centre for Continuing Education Studies (CES) at LUMS is now offering a comprehensive course on “The Fundamentals of Generative AI,” aimed at providing participants with a deep understanding of the latest advancements in artificial intelligence. This course will explore AI’s transformative applications across industries, focusing on working with text, images, and prompt engineering, and offering hands-on experience with AI-driven data analysis. Designed to help professionals integrate these powerful tools into their respective fields, the program promises to deliver innovative solutions customized to industry needs.
The course will be led by Dr. Agha Ali Raza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at LUMS and founding director of the Center for Speech and Language Technologies (CSaLT). Participants will cover essential AI concepts, including large language models, advanced data visualization, image generation, and the development of custom GPT models. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of AI safety and practical steps toward transforming businesses into AI-enabled organizations.
Enrollment is conducted online through the CES website. Applicants need to provide a passport-sized photo and correct CNIC details during registration, with the option to pay fees online or via bank deposit. A confirmation email will follow within 24 to 48 hours after payment.
