After more than seven years of service at JS Bank, where he was instrumental in establishing Zindigi Tech from the ground up, the former Head of IT has embarked on a new professional chapter. He has officially taken on the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Bank Islami Aik Digital, signaling a significant addition to the leadership team of one of Pakistan’s growing Islamic digital banking initiatives.

During his tenure at JS Bank, his leadership in building Zindigi Tech laid the foundation for one of the country’s most notable digital banking platforms. He credited his colleagues, including Noman Azhar, Chief Officer at Zindigi, for their distinct approach to support, and expressed deep gratitude to industry peers who encouraged him to take on this next challenge. Acknowledging Ashfaque Ahmed, Chief Officer at Aik Digital, Sohail Sikandar, Chief Operating Officer, and Imran Haleem Shaikh, he highlighted their trust as a key factor in his decision to step into the CIO position at Bank Islami Aik Digital.

In his new capacity, he aims to develop world-class technology capabilities for Aik Digital, supporting its strategic vision of building a strong presence as a digital-first Islamic banking brand. This move aligns closely with his professional commitment to technology-driven growth and his personal belief in supporting initiatives that champion ribah free banking. By combining innovation with values of fairness, transparency, and social responsibility, he intends to help Aik Digital strengthen its position in the digital financial services market.

The transition from JS Bank to Bank Islami Aik Digital not only reflects his individual career progression but also underscores the growing importance of leadership talent in Pakistan’s evolving fintech and digital banking landscape. His experience in building robust platforms such as Zindigi Tech places him in a strong position to contribute toward the mission of Aik Digital, which seeks to merge faith-driven financial values with advanced technological solutions. With the broader banking industry in Pakistan actively embracing digital transformation, this appointment highlights how technology leaders are being called to play a central role in shaping the future of inclusive, ethical, and digitally empowered financial services.
