Pakistan is preparing to host OneAI 2025, a dedicated AI hackathon created for AI based startups and 6th semester university students. The event will take place on 22 December 2025 at the seventh floor of Bahria Town Tower on Tariq Road near Allah Wali Chowrangi in Block 2 PECHS Karachi. Speridian Technologies is leading the initiative with the goal of bringing together emerging innovators who are ready to solve sector specific challenges with practical and deployable AI solutions. Registration remains open until 30 November 2025 and each team will consist of three members. Once registrations close, shortlisted pre series A startups will be contacted through email and these selected teams will be required to submit an expression of interest with complete startup information and a pitch deck. After the final round of evaluations, only ten teams will earn a place in the live finals in Karachi.
Participants will receive a challenge statement taken from two major sectors which are BFSI and Manufacturing. The challenge will be kept confidential until the day of the event and teams must build a working AI prototype within the designated time. The format ensures that each team demonstrates its ability to work under pressure while applying technical knowledge to real world problems that industries continue to face. This approach is designed to encourage fast thinking along with a strong focus on practical feasibility. The hackathon also gives students and startup founders an opportunity to experience the full lifecycle of problem solving, from analysis of the given prompt to building a model that aligns with current industry expectations.
Speridian Technologies aims to make the event a meaningful platform for both aspiring engineers and early stage founders. Pakistan’s growing interest in applied AI solutions has created a demand for programs where technical talent can interact with experts who understand sector specific needs. Teams competing at OneAI 2025 will also have an opportunity to win cash prizes. The winner will receive PKR 300000, the first runner up will receive PKR 200000 and the second runner up will receive PKR 100000. A participation prize of PKR 30000 per team will also be awarded. The prize structure reinforces the aim of promoting creativity, collaboration and skill building in an environment where emerging talent can shine.
