In a remarkable showcase of innovation and talent, Excellence Delivered (ExD), in collaboration with the NASTP NIIT, successfully hosted the NASA International Space Apps Challenge on October 5-6, 2024. The hackathon attracted an impressive pool of over 600 applicants, with 200 active developers coming together to devise solutions addressing critical challenges in space exploration and Earth sciences.
The event featured a diverse panel of 40 mentors and 20 jury members, including experts from a range of disciplines such as space sciences, aeronautics, GIS, data science, AI, cybersecurity, web development, UI/UX design, project management, and climate change. Their collective expertise provided invaluable guidance and evaluation to participants throughout the challenge.
The competition culminated in the awarding of prizes, generously sponsored by ExD, to two standout teams: Appolo’s Lyers and Tech Tribe-101. The former was recognized for its innovative solution in the thematic area of “Galactic Games: Fun in Microgravity Environment,” while the latter excelled in the category “Chronicles of ExoPlanet.”
The event also featured Mr. Usman Akbar, CEO of PureLogics and Member Elect of the Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA), as the chief guest. His address inspired attendees, shedding light on career prospects in the IT industry and encouraging participants to pursue their passions in technology.
