Engro Corporation’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department wrapped up its highly successful first-ever ideathon, Ennovate 2023. The initiative aimed to tap into the creativity of Engro’s employees and leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve business processes and services.
The competition garnered a remarkable response with 22 teams submitting proposals across the organization. After a rigorous evaluation process, the top six teams were shortlisted and received comprehensive in-house mentoring from ICT management and leadership.
The grand finale showcased inspiring results. The winning team impressed the judges with their pitch for an AI-powered chatbot companion, offering instant access to critical business information. Second place went to a team that presented an AI model for real-time monitoring of soil conditions and crop health using IoT sensors.
This solution holds significant potential for the agricultural sector. The third-place team proposed an AI-powered internal talent marketplace, fostering employee growth by connecting them with diverse opportunities within Engro.
The company also expressed appreciation to the judging panel for their time and expertise, as well as the ICT department team for their dedication in driving the initiative’s success.
