DVAGO And Gatronova Group Complete SAP S 4HANA Transformation Across Pakistan Retail Network

Published:

DVAGO has successfully completed its transition to SAP S 4HANA in a major digital transformation project executed across its nationwide retail network in Pakistan. The implementation was completed within a 110 day timeline and was led entirely by the internal ICT team at Gatronova Group. According to the organization, the project reflects the growing capability of local enterprise technology teams in Pakistan to manage large scale SAP deployments using in house expertise, operational planning, and advanced implementation methodologies.

The SAP S 4HANA deployment represents a shift for DVAGO from fragmented operational systems spread across more than 90 branches toward a centralized enterprise structure designed to improve governance, operational visibility, and analytics driven decision making. The company stated that the transformation introduces an integrated operating model connecting multiple business functions under a single platform. This includes enhanced finance and controlling operations through advanced Contribution Margin Analysis, also known as COPA, featuring 16 analytical dimensions designed to support SKU level profitability analysis across various business segments.

The implementation also introduced a redesigned enterprise structure enabling traceability from sales organizations down to individual SKUs while improving visibility across retail, ecommerce, and hospital channels. According to details shared by the organization, the project streamlined procure to pay operations through bulk transaction generation, automated procurement capabilities, and support for complex pricing structures. Demand planning and forecasting capabilities were also expanded through an Integrated Business Planning foundation aimed at supporting sales and operations planning at both plant and SKU levels.

One of the most notable aspects of the deployment involved the development of a proprietary aggregated sales data mart solution created internally by the Gatronova ICT team. The system consolidates more than 150,000 SKUs daily from over 90 branches into approximately 50,000 aggregated records. According to the company, this architecture was specifically designed to support seamless order to cash cycle execution without requiring SAP Customer Activity Repository solutions. The platform also incorporates automated digital controls intended to reduce transactional inconsistencies while maintaining data accuracy at scale across the retail network.

The SAP transformation further included retail integration enhancements focused on discount structures and SKU level validation processes aimed at improving operational consistency throughout DVAGO’s distribution ecosystem. Company representatives described the implementation as an example of how locally developed enterprise technology expertise can support complex transformation programs typically associated with international consulting firms. The organization credited its ICT professionals, management teams, and operational stakeholders for executing the deployment within the aggressive timeline while maintaining continuity across existing business operations.

Industry analysts note that enterprise modernization projects involving SAP S 4HANA continue to gain traction among retail and distribution businesses across Pakistan as organizations seek improved operational intelligence, centralized data management, and scalable analytics capabilities. By implementing a fully integrated SAP environment supported by internally developed solutions, DVAGO and Gatronova Group have positioned the organization to improve operational coordination, data visibility, and process standardization across its nationwide retail operations.
