Dr. Rana Shahzad Qaiser, Director General of the Info Sci & Tech Department, Government of Sindh, recently led a workshop on “Cybersecurity Breach and Incident Response as a First Responder” at the National Institute of Management (NIM) in Karachi.
The workshop was part of the 36th Senior Management Course (SMC) and specifically tailored for senior officials from federal, provincial, and public sector organizations preparing for Grade 20 promotions.
The session focused on equipping participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to manage cybersecurity incidents effectively. Attendees learned how to assess security breaches, implement first-response measures, and mitigate risks within their organizations.
The training is expected to enhance their capabilities in safeguarding critical systems as they move into more senior roles.
This workshop marks an important step in strengthening cybersecurity awareness and preparedness across key government institutions.
