Cohesity Webinar Highlights Microsoft 365 Backup And Cyber Resilience Strategies

Published:

Cohesity has announced an upcoming webinar focused on strengthening Microsoft 365 data protection by addressing security gaps that organizations face as cyber threats continue to target cloud based business environments. Scheduled for August 27 at 11 AM Pacific Time and 2 PM Eastern Time, the session will explore how organizations can improve the protection of their Microsoft 365 data beyond the native capabilities available within cloud services. The company emphasized that while cloud native protection provides an important layer of security, it may not be sufficient to safeguard sensitive business information during sophisticated cyberattacks. The webinar aims to provide practical insights into protecting critical Microsoft 365 workloads through additional security measures designed to improve cyber resilience and reduce the impact of ransomware and other data related threats.

According to Cohesity, threat actors continue to target sensitive Microsoft 365 information, making it increasingly important for organizations to implement comprehensive data protection strategies. The company stated that relying solely on cloud native security features may leave organizations exposed during security incidents that involve data deletion, encryption or unauthorized access. To address these challenges, the webinar will discuss the role of immutable snapshots, encryption and isolated storage in strengthening Microsoft 365 security. These technologies are intended to help ensure that backup data remains protected from tampering while providing organizations with secure recovery options following an attack. By combining these protection mechanisms, businesses can improve the resilience of their Microsoft 365 environments and better safeguard critical business information against evolving cyber threats.

The webinar will feature Patrick LaPorte, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Cohesity, and Theresa Miller, Senior Director of Technical Marketing at Cohesity. During the session, the speakers are expected to explain how organizations can identify potential weaknesses in their existing Microsoft 365 protection strategies and implement additional safeguards that support business continuity. The discussion will also cover the value of maintaining immutable backup copies that cannot be altered by unauthorized users, encrypting sensitive data to reduce exposure and using isolated storage environments that remain protected even if production systems are compromised. These practices have become increasingly important as organizations continue to expand their reliance on cloud productivity platforms for communication, collaboration and document management.

Cohesity is inviting technology professionals, security teams and organizations using Microsoft 365 to participate in the webinar to better understand how layered data protection can strengthen cybersecurity readiness. The session is intended to demonstrate practical approaches for closing security gaps while helping organizations improve their ability to recover from cyber incidents involving cloud based business applications. As attacks targeting enterprise cloud environments continue to evolve, the company is encouraging organizations to review their existing backup and recovery strategies and consider additional protection measures that enhance resilience against data loss and ransomware related incidents.
