South Korea based core banking software and fintech company Bankware Global has secured a contract worth 7.98 billion South Korean won, approximately PKR 1.57 billion, to build a system and supply software for Pakistan Post Office Department. The company disclosed the development in a notice submitted to the Korea Exchange, confirming that the project will be executed through a joint venture. The agreement represents a significant international technology engagement for the company and supports the ongoing modernization efforts of Pakistan Post Office Department, which has been working to strengthen its digital capabilities and improve service delivery through advanced technology solutions.
According to the company, the project contract became effective on August 7, 2026, and will continue until March 6, 2028. Bankware Global stated that the contract value is equivalent to approximately 12.6 percent of its total sales recorded in 2025, highlighting the importance of the project within its business portfolio. The company also outlined the agreed payment structure, under which it will receive a 20 percent advance payment, while the remaining 80 percent will be released in stages based on implementation progress, inspection schedules for individual project sectors, and the commencement of operations and maintenance activities. This phased payment model is intended to align project milestones with financial disbursements throughout the implementation period.

In addition to handling domestic and international postal services, the organization provides a range of financial and public services, including remittance solutions, utility bill collection, and Computerized National Identity Card renewal services.
