1Link Assures No Customer Data Breach After Technology Partner Ransomware Attack

In a swift response to a recent ransomware attack targeting their technology partner, TPS Worldwide, Pakistan’s leading payment processor, 1LINK, has issued a security advisory to its members. While confirming the incident, 1LINK has emphasized that TPS successfully contained the attack, preventing any financial loss and ensuring the security of customer data.

“TPS has confirmed that no customer data was compromised during the ransomware attack,” 1LINK stated in its advisory.”TPS does not host any customer data, limiting the impact of the incident to their internal servers.”

To bolster its members’ cybersecurity posture, 1LINK has recommended reviewing recent security patches from TPS and implementing additional protective measures, such as regular system scans. The processor has also reiterated the continued availability and security of all its services, including 1BILL.

In a bid to combat misinformation, 1LINK has urged its members to refrain from spreading inaccurate information and to collaborate in maintaining factual reporting on the incident.
